Gabesvirtualworld posted Prevent your LUNs running out of space remind me about my VMFS LUNs space. Personally I don’t agreed about create a dummy vmdk on each LUN. Why? Arnim, you still have to wake up at 3am if received any calls. Just a joke!

As many of the users who used the previous version of the VMware Server, there were no shortcuts on your desktop which provide direct access to the VM console without logging into the web console.On VMware Server 2.0, you will have the flexibility of doing this which is placing a shortcut on your desktop and allow you to log in to the VM console directly.

VM Linux Guest Kernel Compilation Error

I have a OpenSuSE 11 running on my laptop VMware Workstation 6.5.1 recently. During VMware Tools installation, I found a weird error show as below:

“The following VMware kernel modules have been found on your system that were not installed by the VMware Installer. Please remove them then run this installer again.”

vmxnet
