The comparison between VMware ESX/ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V is not new to me or you today.
Frankly speaking, I’m big fans of VMware and I would like to share the related news – Microsoft Hyper-V jokes.

There are two sides to this coin, that even the most passionate VMware community member should objectively consider. Mark Bowker’s blog touches on a few good points:

This case study from Taiwan is a good example that Microsoft has can offer customers much more than just a hypervisor, such as desktop and server apps and application virtualization: http://www.microsoft.com/casestudies/casestudy.aspx?casestudyid=4000003163
And this Australian engineering design firm is just one of many customers to select Microsoft instead of VMware (and yes there are many who have chosen VMware): http://www.microsoft.com/casestudies/casestudy.aspx?casestudyid=4000002503
I respect the VMware community’s passion about features within ESX, VI3, Virtual Center, etc. But the world isn’t flat.
Hi Patrick, I believe what we do here is share about what we see and others posted. Obviously, you may need to compare apple to apple when you do a comparison. The link you show above, if not talk about virtualization in enterprise in detail and mostly are talking about the desktop optimization, apps virtualization. VMware ESX, VI and Virtual Center is specifically on the Virtulization for Data Center, Platform, Operating System, performance, DR and etc. Well, thanks for your sharing and again, personally, we do have Xen Citrix environment with us. When you read through our post, we had also stated the benefits of others hypervisor beside VMware.
