Intel had launched the latest chipset 5600 series recently. Original I was thought that all the new chipset should come with 6 cores per physical CPU. Luckily I did my research just now and found that not all Intel 5600 series will come with 6 cores. Only specified model will have 6 cores in place. I attach the picture as a reference for you all. Intel had officially announced the new product series of Intel 6 cores base on 5600 series which will be the successors of Intel Nahelemn 5500 family. The new product series code name Westmere. We will be getting more and more powerful processors in the 2 way servers today which will be good for virtualization and consolidation project. The market are expecting the server vendor like Cisco, DELL, IBM, HP, Fujitsu and etc will launch the server model which support Intel 5600 series very soon. A virtual network adapter is a program (instead of a physical network adapter) that allows a computer to connect to a network. A virtual network adapter can also be used to connect all the computers on a local area network (LAN) to a larger network such as the Internet or a collection of LANs.

As we noticed that all servers vendors like HP, DELL and IBM had launched their latest generation of servers to support the Intel Nehalem which also name as Intel Xeon 5500 series high performing virtualization chipset. I had read up couples of review from the expert which provide some useful information for reference purpose.
Been a while we all working on virtualization for consolidation purpose, I am sure that 1 of the biggest selling point we always remind the customers and management is we will able to fully utilize the investment we put in for the servers in our data center with virtualization in place. Most of the time, we may still not 100% utilize the servers capacity due to some consideration of High Availability and Performance issues.
Here I am interesting to show 1 of the screen shot I capture during my stress test on the ESX host for our production machine which hit to 100% of the CPU utilization on the ESX host level.
