</script></p><p>Previously Craig posted <a href="http://malaysiavm.com/blog/database-upgrade-during-vcenter-25-update-4-installation/">Database Upgrade during vCenter 2.5 Update 4 Installation</a>, and I&#8217;m facing an issue during installing the &#8220;Performance Overview Plugin&#8221;.</p>
<p>Referring to <a href="http://malaysiavm.com/blog/tag/vmware">VMware</a> <a href="http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&amp;cmd=displayKC&amp;externalId=1008296">KB Article 1008296</a> &#8211; Installing the <a href="http://malaysiavm.com/blog/tag/performance">Performance</a> Overview Plug-In in <a href="http://malaysiavm.com/blog/tag/virtualcenter">VirtualCenter</a> 2.5 Update 4, the installation process is pretty straight forward and I was get stuck with &#8220;install.bat &#8220;.</p>
<p>Basically I can only found &#8220;vpx/perfCharts&#8221; folder inside &#8220;VMware-VIMSetup-2.5.0-U4-English.iso&#8221;. When I issued an &#8220;<em>install.bat</em>&#8221; command I&#8217;m get an &#8220;<strong>Access is denied</strong>&#8221; <a href="http://malaysiavm.com/blog/tag/error">error</a> message. I believed the reason is I <strong>can&#8217;t</strong> write anything into <em>Drive H:</em> folder which mounted as <em>Read Only</em> with Daemon Tools.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.malaysiavm.com/images/perfo.png" rel="shadowbox[sbpost-949];player=img;"><img src="http://www.malaysiavm.com/images/perfo.png" alt="VMware Performance Chart" rel="shadowbox" /></a><br />
<span id="more-949"></span><br />
Again I tried the same command from <a href="http://malaysiavm.com/blog/tag/drive">drive</a> &#8220;<strong>C:\Document and Settings\myUserName&gt;h:\vpx\perfCharts\install vcUser vcPassword</strong>&#8221; and I&#8217;m getting another error &#8220;<strong>Windows cannot find &#8220;run.bat&#8221;. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then tried again. To search for a file, click Start button, and then click Search</strong>&#8220;.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.malaysiavm.com/images/perfrun.png" rel="shadowbox[sbpost-949];player=img;"><img src="http://www.malaysiavm.com/images/perfrun.png" alt="Performance Chart Installation" width="514" height="105" rel="shadowbox" /></a></p>
<p>Finally I managed to get installation worked by manually copy the entire Drive &#8220;<em>h:\vpx</em>&#8221; folder into Drive &#8220;<em>c:\vpx</em>&#8221; and run installation from Drive &#8220;<em>c:\vpx</em>&#8221; folder and its work like a charm.</p>
<p>Again, I like the new <strong>Performance Overview</strong> view.</p>
