VMware Training in Malaysia

I was looking for VMware training(preferred Design, Secure and Analyse course) in Malaysia but look like not much choice here. If you looking at VMware education website, you can only found Nota Asia available for Malaysia(sorry no VMware course available on Nota Asia web site). What?
And I don’t see schedule for DSA course. You can only found VMware Infrastructure 3: Install and Configure V3.5 course available on Nov and Dec 2008.
I did contact Iverson training center and the person in-charge told me DSA cost about RM4xxx per pack but no one enroll yet. I think the price is pretty cheap if compare to Singapore (cost above 5xxx sin dollar). too bad, I was ask to wait for further confirmation. Huh? No demand here?

the current training offer in malaysia still on the foundation course, I believe is time for VMware malaysia to offer the advance classes as the IT market for Malaysia is big. Travel budget is expected to be cut by every corporate due to economy crisis in US. Training in singapore VS malaysia is too much different
you can only get this course in Singapore , from ixxxx . but I think it’s not help me much … I am not sure … let me know if you have taken the training
The DSA training is more focus in deep dive features, command and architecture to manage and tuning the ESX environment. My friend had attended this before in Australia and is very useful as per his feedback

For DSA training, I think any classes with 8 or more pax will be a perfect fit to put together a class. NotaAsia is definitely more than willing to start that. Just register yourself with them and I am sure there will be willing to know others who wants to do the class over in this forum
Somehow I believe we should suggest this to MDEC to push further as Malaysia become major IT hub in SEA, but the IT training is not really present strong enough most of the case
I’m looking for VI 3.5 Install and Configure class in Malaysia but all the 3 listed center in VMware site don’t have info for the class. Most probably will go for class in Ixxxxx at Singapore.
try nota asia
they should have the thing for u
Do contact Nota Asia. I heard they are partnering with Virtual Learning Center (VLC) who is VMware authorized training center.
I know HP malaysia do have training class available as well
Personally, I felt we should engage training centers where their trainer has gone through implementation before. I noticed some trainers who only know theories and gotten themselves certified as VMware certified trainer.
I believe most of the guys like us had gone through self implementation for enterprise environment. The problem VMware had been setup here is the you MUST attend the class before you can certify as VCP. Agree with you, a lot of the VCP had not went through the cycle of full implementation. Therefore, VMware had role out 2 additional advance certificate to ensure the quality is there. But again, I believe they should not force the users to attend the foundation class to gain the VCP. The course fees will just be too high for a users who willing to pay themselves for the certification.
Additional for this article, Nota Asia had turned around by saying the previous quote is in wrong currency. Should be in Singapore Dollar. I am very disappointing with the approach it does happen to us. They should check properly before the quote had been sent
I&C, DSA, VDI … will be available here localy starting frm early next year… stay tune =)
what will be the estimate training fees for that? I think we should look for an affordable price for local Malaysian
Please let us know more details about the courses. Thanks.
before I go to I&C , I have very little experience , after came back , I do hand’s on by migrating some linux apache web server to ESX 3.5 with linux heartbeat install , then I really learn by “trial and error”, as heartbeat seem very tricky , it’s pity that we don’t buy SAN or iSCSI storage system due to the budget
.
recently I look at ovirt , surprisingly linux kvm pick up very fast
We are planning to organize a classroom training in cyberjaya for DSA which is the advance training class for VMware engineer. Anyone interested pls contact myself at craigchin@malaysiavm.com or reply to this comment. The training fees will be negotiable and promise to be cheaper than singapore.
