Here is the screen shot of the new vSphere client for the next version of VMware Infrastructure. There are improvement available which allow yourself to log in automatically by using your windows credentials without has to re-type your user name and password. For users who had Active directory authentication integrated with their vCenter, this will definitely be the helpful feature.

But still no multi-factor auth for which I am waiting couple of years now.
when you said multi factor, are you meant AD authentication, local authentication and Linux authentication mix up?
By multi-factor authentication I mean loging into the VMWare Infrastructure Client using smartcard, usb token…
